Kevin is a Software Engineer and an active Informatics Engineering student driven by a continuous curiosity for modern technology. His experience covers the full software development process. Rather than focusing on just one area, he handles everything from shaping how users interact on the frontend to structuring the core logic and services on the backend.
To support his work, he also manages the underlying databases and applies DevOps practices to keep deployments running smoothly. Beyond web engineering, Kevin enjoys connecting digital systems with the physical world through IoT hardware and computer vision. From UI/UX prototyping to writing production code, his main focus is to build practical and impactful solutions.
What Kevin has done for GoodEWorkers
As a volunteer, Kevin works on fhir-map, the association's open-source FHIR terminology and transformation server.
He made HL7v2 transforms return ER7 message text instead of a JSON object, so an HPRIM message can be converted to HL7v2 and then to FHIR in two chained calls. He also documented how the server resolves StructureMaps and brought the project's dependencies and CI workflows up to date.
